Le tribunal correctionnel de Pau a condamné la SNCF en première instance, le 9 octobre 2026, pour la collision de Denguin (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), survenue en 2014 et ayant fait 36 blessés. Le rapport d’enquête technique pointait dès février 2016 des câbles rongés dans une guérite. L’amende sera réglée par une entreprise publique, donc par l’usager et le contribuable.
